Frequently asked questions

Do I need a business background?

No. The course starts with a map of how any business works and builds from there. Some work experience helps the ideas click, and you should be comfortable with light math: the finance and statistics are kept intuitive, and a calculator or spreadsheet is all you need for the exercises.

What's in the course besides the lessons?

The lessons are written, with diagrams, worked examples, and knowledge checks that come with answer keys. Each module and elective ends with a hands-on exercise, and there are printable PDFs to go with them: a worksheet for every exercise, a workbook and template for each of the three capstone tracks, and two course-wide reference sheets, a formula sheet and a frameworks-at-a-glance sheet.

How long does the course take?

The core is about 60 hours of lessons, plus a hands-on exercise in each module. The electives add about 30 hours, and the capstone is a 6–10 hour project. At about an hour a day, you can finish the core in roughly three months — but it's self-paced, so go as fast or as slow as you like.

What can I preview for free?

You can read 5 lessons in full before you buy: "Business Models & the Value Chain" and "The Money Cycle" from Module 1, "Supply, Demand & Elasticity" from Module 4, "GDP, Inflation, Unemployment & the Business Cycle" from Module 5, and "Process Analysis, Bottlenecks & Throughput" from Module 9. You can also browse the complete curriculum.

Is the course specific to the United States?

The concepts are universal, but the setting leans American: examples use US dollars, and the real-data sources are US ones, like SEC EDGAR and FRED. The frameworks carry over anywhere, and the lessons suggest non-US equivalents, such as your national statistics office or the OECD. Where practice differs abroad (IFRS versus US GAAP), they say so, and country-specific tax and legal details are left out.

Is this an accredited MBA or certificate program?

No. The course teaches the knowledge and skills of an MBA core curriculum, but it isn't a degree, and it doesn't include accreditation, an alumni network, or live instruction. It works well as preparation before an MBA, or alongside one. If you want the degree and everything that comes with it, you'll need to enroll in a full MBA program.

How do payment and access work?

A single one-time payment unlocks every module, elective, and the capstone, including future updates. There's no subscription, and checkout is handled securely by Stripe.
